Ohne Witz: Gianni Motti, 47, Shooting Star der Schweizer Kunstszene, wird die exklusive Einzelanfertigung an der bedeutendsten Kunstmesse der Welt, der Art Basel, die am 14. Juni eröffnet wird, präsentieren und dem verwöhnten Kunstliebhaber für etwa 15000 Euro zum Kauf anbieten. Das kam so: Vor anderthalb Jahren verschwand Italiens Ministerpräsident für einen Monat. Niemand wusste genau, wohin, aber als er dann wieder auftauchte, wirkte er seltsam verjüngt. Das Rätsel wurde bald gelöst: Berlusconi hatte sich für eine Totalrenovation in eine Klinik in Lugano begeben. Wie es der Zufall wollte, kannte Gianni Motti jemanden, der dort arbeitete und der ihm das Fett, das man Berlusconi abgesaugt hatte, zuspielte.

Ein neuer Hype in der US-Radiolandschaft: Vielfalt und Abwechslung im Musikprogramm. Man glaubt es kaum, aber wenn Wired darüber schreibt, wird wohl was dran sein. Und wer ist schlud? Der iPod! Statt 200 Titel in der Endlosschlaufe, ist das neue, trendige Radio-Paradigma: möglichst viele Titel ins Repertoire und dann wild mischen.

From Seattle and San Diego to Baltimore and Buffalo, more than a dozen big-city radio stations have converted to a format known as Jack-FM over the past two months. On Friday, even legendary New York City oldies station WCBS-FM dumped '60s rock and joined the 'Jack' parade. Boasting they're "like an iPod on shuffle," the new stations typically dump their disc jockeys in favor of huge song playlists that mimic a well-stocked portable music player.

Der Mail-Client von Mozilla, Thunderbird, der sich auch als RSS-Feed-Reader nutzen lässt, kann jetzt offenbar in einer alpha-Version auch mit Enclosures in den Feeds umgehen, und versteht sich deshalb jetzt mit Podcasts.

Die NYT berichtet darüber, dass Podcasts sich jetzt auch Museen vornehmen und so zu "alternativen" Audioguides werden. Wie z.B. Art Mobs.
The creators of this guide, David Gilbert, a professor of communication at Marymount Manhattan College, and a group of his students, describe it on their Web site as a way to "hack the gallery experience" or "remix MoMa," which they do with a distinctly collegiate blend of irony, pop music and heavy breathing. It is one of the newest adaptations in the world of podcasting - downloading radio shows, music and kitchen-sink audio to an MP3 player.

There is no reason why my kitchen radio couldn't have both an Ethernet port and a WiMax chipset within a few years. Throw in a small LCD display and a nice interface, and you'd have a pretty tidy receiver that's truly plugged in to the world. I'd pay for it. I suspect I'm not the only one.

Adam Curry erzählt in seinem Podcast von heute, er sei - zusammen mit seinem Geschäftspartner Ron Bloom - eineinhalb Stunden mit Steve Jobs zusammengesessen an der "D" Konferenz des Wall Street Journals in San Diego. Eine seiner Bitten an Jobs sei gewesen: "Hey, ich will aufnehmen können mit meinem iPod." Er, Curry, könne nicht mehr preisgeben von seinem Gespräch mit Jobs, aber soviel sei verraten: Das sei etwas, das in näherer Zukunft ganz sicher komme. Tim O'Reilly vom O'Reilly Verlag, schreibt auf seinem Weblog (O'Reilly Radar), dass Steve Jobs gestern an der so genannten "D" Konferenz des Wall Street Journals, einem Treffen von CEOs aus der Technologiebranche, angekündigt habe, iTunes enthalte in seiner nächsten Version (4.9), die bis in etwa 60 Tagen erhältlich sein werde, Optionen für den Umgang mit Podcasts.
